Temperature Forecast for Mexico City

The National Water Commission reports expected temperatures in Mexico City ranging from 8-10°C (min) to 22-24°C (max). Rain and thunderstorms are likely in the area.


Temperature Forecast for Mexico City

The National Water Commission (Conagua) announced the weather forecasts for various areas of Mexico. In Mexico City, a minimum temperature of 8 to 10 degrees Celsius and a maximum between 22 and 24 degrees is expected, while in Toluca, State of Mexico, a minimum of 3 to 5 and a maximum of 19 to 21 degrees is forecasted. In the morning, fog banks and a cold to cool environment are anticipated, especially in high areas of the State of Mexico.

During the afternoon, a partly cloudy to overcast sky with possibilities of rains and scattered showers in Mexico City and the State of Mexico is expected. These precipitation events could be accompanied by lightning strikes and hail, mainly in areas of the State of Mexico. By Monday night and Tuesday morning, heavy localized rains are anticipated in Guerrero, Puebla, Tlaxcala, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas, and Tabasco.

Additionally, scattered showers are predicted in Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Hidalgo, State of Mexico, Mexico City, Morelos, Campeche, and Quintana Roo. In Nuevo León and Yucatán, isolated rains are expected, also with lightning strikes and possible hail. On the other hand, temperatures between 35 to 40 degrees are expected in different states of the country, such as Sonora, Sinaloa, Jalisco, Oaxaca, Chiapas, and Morelos, among others.

In contrast, maximum temperatures of 30 to 35 degrees will be recorded in Baja California, Baja California Sur, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo. The mentioned forecasts are based on the activity of low-pressure channels, the influx of humidity from both oceans, and a trough at high levels of the atmosphere in various regions of Mexico.
